Fire in the fibre production unit at Trevira's plant in Bobingen

At around 1.40 p.m. a fire broke out in Trevira’s staple fibre production plant in Bobingen, Germany. The voluntary as well as the plant‘s fire brigade were immediately informed and jointly extinguished the fire shortly thereafter. No employees were harmed. We would like to thank all emergency forces for their work.

 

Detailed information regarding the fire is being compiled. The authorities, who are currently examining the cause of the fire, will receive full support from our side. The safety and wellbeing of our employees, partners and neighbours are our first priority.
