The Gebrüder Mehler weaving mill in Tirschenreuth is presenting its new developments in corporate wear at Munich Fabric at the start of September. Made from special Trevira fibres, the fabrics meet all the rigorous demands of work and corporate wear. They are hardwearing, easy care, low-pill, bioactive and possess a positive climate effect.
The special profile of the fibres in the fabrics makes possible a more rapid dispersal and removal of moisture from the lower side of the material than is the case with other materials, for example natural fibres and also filaments with circular profile. The fabrics are breathable and provide a good body climate: the more so as the bioactive effect anchored in the fibres makes the wearer feel clean and fresh. In addition, the textiles are pleasantly light, with the elastane element used in the yarns supplying greater comfort to the wearer.
The new qualities are being launched under the Trevira Perform Moisture Control brand. As they are available in various fabric constructions, weights and colours, they are suited for all outer wear articles. “Nowadays corporate wear should not only look good, it has to be comfortable and functional as well”, says managing director Paulus Mehler. “With our new development we are able to cover a large part of the most vital properties. We have in addition a wide range of possible end uses to offer customers and we can as well produce the fabric to meet the customer’s own individual needs. With our in-house dyeworks we are in a position to supply fabrics that match corporate identity, and in small quantities too, starting from 25 metres“.
