FIDIVI: Jet Bioactive, a fabric with both flame retardant and antimicrobial functions

 

As the entire world adjusts to a new normal in terms of health and hygiene, FIDIVI Tessitura Vergnano reintroduces its antimicrobial fabric Jet Bioactive made with 100% Trevira CS Bioactive yarns.

Jet Bioactive is a fabric with a double effect, meeting preventive fire safety requirements and enhancing hygiene in equal measure. The fabric contains a silver-based antimicrobial agent, combined with the usual Trevira CS flame retardant property.

Silver ions in the yarn inhibit the growth of bacteria in and on the fabric without the need of an additional finishing agent or back coating.

This additive has a permanent antimicrobial effect that remains unaffected by frequent washing. The antimicrobial additive does not migrate out of the fibers.

Trevira CS Bioactive yarns also make Jet Bioactive skin and environmentally friendly.

In term of touch and appearance, Jet Bioactive has the same natural wool handle offered by the iconic Fidivi fabric Jet. This discreet and elegant fabric is available in 27 solid and two-tone colourways.
