Quality Assurance and Certificates

The highest standards of environmental protection and safety in the workplace

We are committed to ensuring the highest possible standards of health and safety at work and to protecting the health of our staff, customers and neighbours. To help us meet this special responsibility, we use internal and external quality assurance processes.

Indorama Ventures Management Process (IVMP)

The Indorama Ventures Management Process (IVMP) sets out Trevira’s company policy of foresight and care in everything we do, from product development and choice of materials through to the ongoing improvement of manufacturing processes.

The IVMP is company policy in practice, an internal tool which is used to shape company development and practices, and to help realise our goal of sustainable economic success. It covers the areas of quality, environmental protection, health and safety at work and energy management.

The IVMP also includes an ‘Ongoing Improvement’ component (KVP) to ensure that we continually improve our processes and practices.

Certification for Indorama Ventures sites

All Indorama Ventures sites are certified according to ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018.

Indorama Ventures meets the requirements of the German Renewable Energy Law (EEG), and constantly identifies the potential for energy savings in our manufacturing process.

Since 2012, the Indorama Ventures Management Process has also incorporated the requirements of the ISO 50001 standard for energy management systems.

Indorama Ventures is certified as an Authorized Economic Operator according to the AEO standard.

Indorama Ventures meets the requirements of systematic and effective occupational safety and health on the basis of the “Systematic Safety” seal of approval. The assessment also proved that the ISO 45001:2018 guidelines are fully implemented.

Product Certification: OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100

Products that meet OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 are guaranteed to comply with permissible limit values for harmful and toxic substances such as formaldehyde, heavy metals, pesticide residues or organic chlorine compounds.

The certificate is awarded by the International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile and Leather Ecology (OEKO-TEX®). The Association is a union of 18 independent textile research and test institutes from 16 countries.

Indorama Ventures textile products have held the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificate since it was first introduced in 1992. Textiles certified with this standard are also suitable for babies and toddlers under 3 years of age.

Responsible Care

As a manufacturer of man-made fibres, Indorama Ventures plays an active part in the ‘Responsible Care’ initiative established by the VCI, the association that represents the German chemical industry. The initiative was founded in order to promote the ongoing improvement of health and safety and environmental protection standards in chemical and pharmaceutical companies.

It represents an important step towards sustainability, a principle that is also at the heart of Indorama Ventures company policy. New products are defined as sustainable when they are more environmentally friendly (‘greener’) than traditional products at every stage of the product life cycle (manufacture, usage and disposal/recycling).

Visit the VCI website to find out more about the ‘Responsible Care’ initiative.
