Trevira CS for the maritime sector

In response to the special needs involved in protecting those on cruise ships, there are particularly stringent regulations on protection against fire in force here. They have international validity. Legislation for them is based on resolutions of the IMO (International Maritime Organisation), the requirements for burn tests being set out in the FTP Codes.

Trevira has developed a procedure for customers, that is, a system to support them in certifying their textiles. This makes available all the documentation required for the procedure. In this way the flame retardant Trevira CS fabrics may be used immediately on board vessels, with no waste of time.

Alongside regulations on protection against fire, the flame retardant Trevira CS textiles naturally meet the demands of designers and architects in terms of an exclusive environment for passengers on luxury liners.
